One more swatch down! One to go!
But there’s a problem. I don’t know what this stitch is. Purl Avenue says it’s supposed to be an Inverted Honeycomb Stitch. But it looks more like some sort of Twisted Rib.
I mean- I like it, and all… but it’s sort of like false advertising. You promised me honeycomb goodness (albeit in yellow), and I received some sort of crazy rib.
Ah well. It’s still swatched. One more, and I can weave in all the ends and block them all!
That is odd, those are not the same!
I know! And I made sure to carefully follow each cable cross. I even looked up what C3L and C3R mean (and looked at two YouTube videos), and wrote them on my printout in a language I could understand. But- no inverted honeycomb for me!
The printed instructions looked right to me so I swatched a couple rows. I am getting the inverted honeycomb. It’s tough to tell exactly from your picture what the problem might be. I see right slants, so I’m guessing your left slant is the where the problem is.
Did you follow the abbreviation guide from purl avenue…
http://purlavenue.com/knitting-abbreviations#C
They show a cross 3 front and a cable 3 front so it can be confusing.
Wait- you might be on to something! The C3L and C3R I looked at said to hold them both in back. I didn’t match the C3L with Purl Avenue (I just matched C3R), so I WAS doing the L’s wrong.
Now I’m intrigued and want to try it again!
It always amazes me how there is absolutely NO standard when it comes to knitting 🙂 Everyone does things just a little different…which is awesome, unless you’re looking at abbreviations. LOL! Good luck with round 2!
I nominated you for post a quote challenge, please check it out
I will start quoting later today. Must find the perfect one…
Lol, take your time. 😆
