inEvery time I mention something about Swaps on Ravelry- I get several interested comments. For those who have never participated in a swap before- let me give you some general information.
Not all the swaps have these rules, and some have more than this; but it will give you an idea of what to expect:

I can go ahead and do this, because I don’t plan to buy any more yarn until Stitches South. And that’s the very first day of April. 🙂
Yardage knitted:
1,020 yards on Season’s Change
268 yards on Garden Rows
Yarn bought:
4 skeins of Landscapes = 147 yards x 4
2 skeins of Caron One Pound = 812 yards x 2
The One Pounders have a purpose. I still have yet to get to a blanket that some friends want, so I thought this would maybe get me in gear. The Landscapes were bought to keep my valid status in the JoAnn’s world of sending coupons. You don’t know how many times those have stopped coming because I didn’t buy anything…
March:
Yardage Knitted: 1,288
Yardage Bought: 2,212
Money Spent: $32.00
Year to Date:
Yardage Knitted: 3,617
Yardage BOUGHT: 4,894
Money Spent: $130.38

inI finished the mystery swap project, and I have 90% of the goodies that will be mailed with it. I just need some edible goodies and off it will go. If you’re stalking my Ravelry projects and you just NEED TO KNOW what it looks like- you can find pictures of it under Jack’s jar of dirt. 😀

inWhat I am currently reading:
House of Hades (The Heroes of Olympus Series- Book 4) by Rick Riordan
I’m not liking this series as much as I liked Percy Jackson. I think it’s because I’m going from a series with one central character, to a series with seven central characters. It’s just a lot to keep up with. I’m going to finish the series, though. I’d like to know what happens.
What I just finished reading:
Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers
I decided to read this, after I heard that P.L. Travers was highly upset at Disney’s version of Mary Poppins. Ms. Travers felt that Disney made Mary Poppins too sweet and took out the strict. Kind of implying that there are no consequences for the childrens’ substandard behavior. So far I like the book version of Mary Poppins better than the Disney version.
What I plan to read next:
In case you haven’t noticed by now- things RARELY go as planned for this one. But here goes…)
Star Wars: The Force Awakens by Alan Dean Foster

inWhat’s on the needles:
1. Mystery Swap Project (60%)
I’m about 2/3rds of the way through. It’s taking longer that I expected, mainly because I’m knitting it in cotton. Cotton and I are not the best of friends, so I’m slower at knitting this project, because my hands hate the feel of it. Still- I should have it completed by next week.
2. Scrap Blanket
I have decided to get rid of as many scraps as possible. Basically just to make room for more yarn. (Hi, Hubby!) So this one will be PURPOSELY ongoing, until it is big enough to make a border and declare it done. Each square is 50 stitches on size 11 needles. They come out to be about 9 inches by 9 inches.
And then there are the usual suspects:
4. Flax sweater
And once I’m done with the mystery swap project- I’ll cast on the swatches for my Stitches South homework. I am NOT waiting till the last minute.
