inDay 28: Do you do any other crafts besides knitting? What are they, and did learning to knit come before or after learning these other crafts?
I can make candles and soaps. Those came before. I made a whole bunch of candles, and then stopped. And my supplies did not make the move back to Tennessee, so I would have to buy everything I need again.

inDay 27: How do you acquire most of yarn? Online retailers, local yarn shops, swaps, or large chain craft stores? What’s your favorite?
The majority of my yarn (I’d say 75%) is both large chain craft stores and online retailers. The other 25% is gifted yarn, and visits to an LYS (local yarn shop) near me or near where ever I’m going.

inDay 26: Have you ever been a part, or wanted to be a part of a knit-a-long? What was it? If not, why?
Yeah… I’ve been a part of two Nancy Whitman KALs. One just ended, and another is going right now (go here, if you want more information- it goes to August). I’m probably not going to make this one, either. So much is going on with the move, and with my Dad…
While I can do swaps (and I LOVE swaps) – I can’t just sit down and work on one thing until it is finished. I don’t have the focus for that. That’s just not me.

inDay 25: Do you have a knitting book or a place where you keep patterns, ideas, size measurements? Post a picture of it!
I don’t have one central place to keep patterns, ideas, and measurements. Some are in Ravelry, some are in my smartphone (in a note-taking app), and some are here:
I bought it YEARS ago, but it’s half-sized, and that’s not effective. There’s not enough room to put full details that you will need if you ever want to replicate something you made or designed. I keep toying with the idea of designing a full-sized replacement, but as I’m mostly digital these days- that’s kind of unnecessary.

inDay 23: If you had the supplies (and patience) for it, what project would you start today?

inDay 22: Have you ever stricken someone off your to-knit-for list because they didn’t appreciate/take care of your last knitted gift to them?
Since the list isn’t long to begin with- no one I have knitted for in the past has proven themselves to be nonknitworthy. But there are a lot of people who will not even make the list.

inDay 21: Do you knit gifts for friends and family for the holidays or birthdays?
Usually- no. I started with my mother-in-law and then my father-in-law. They seem to love certain knitted items, so I will knit for them. Others have to express an interest before I will consider it. And then- only for them, not for their friends/family.

inDay 20: Do you knit in public? Was anyone offended/incredibly happy/curious that you were doing so? I knit everywhere.
Especially if I know that a wait is possible. So hospital visits… doctors appointments… standing in line at the DMV…
