I have a pair of LG Bluetooth headphones. These things are fantastic. However- I sometimes forget to bring them to work, and thus am stuck with my backup pair of headphones. Which are wired.

Day 10: Best Trip of Your Life
That would be my honeymoon. First cruise and first time outside of the U.S. It was awesome! First- a cruise is like a floating casino, where the scenery changes depending on the hour. If you have not taken a cruise before- I highly recommend it. Carnival and Princess are probably the cheapest in the U.S., if you’re budget-conscious; but neither feel particularly cut rate.

Day 9: What’s In Your Bag/Wallet
What ISN’T in my bag would probably be an easier question! 🙂
Let’s see… in my “wallet” I keep my ID and money, a few bandages (my Hubby seems to cut himself a lot), some moist towelettes, a necklace from my Grandmother, a pair of folded scissors, several finishing needles, a few stitch markers, and when I remember- some bacterial ointment like Neosporin. (I say “wallet”, because it’s actually a mini-camera bag. One of those little backpack-looking things.)
In my BAG, I keep a notebook, several different pens, my crochet hook collection, some mints, a little clear makeup bag full of flash drives and USB adaptors, my phone charger, a leather envelope for my ADDI knitting needles, and usually several knitting projects.

Day 8: 5 Current Goals
1) Go back to college
2) Learn how to machine sew
3) Buy a desk long enough to fit my knitting machine (the current one is almost 8 inches too short), so I can knit up most of my stash quickly (or at least quicker than it would take me to do it by hand needles)
4) Learn Russian or Norwegian
5) Brush up on my Korean

Day 7: Your 5 Favorite Songs
This is also a hard thing to do. Basically you’re asking me to take all the songs I love (for whatever reason), and narrow down my most favorite ones to five. I’m not sure I can narrow it down that completely. I THINK I’m going to narrow it down to five ALBUMS that I identify with the whole album in some way, and then five individual songs that speak to me.

Day 6: What Are You Afraid Of
I’m afraid of a lot of things. Spiders, heights, clowns, being buried alive, people harvesting my organs before I’m actually dead, being struck by lightning (although I like storms)…
I think when it becomes problematic, is when you let your fears stop you from living. And I know- some things you can’t help but be afraid of; but I think that is what therapy is for. To give you an essential understanding of the thing you fear, and to give you the tools to learn how to cope with that fear. It’s okay to be afraid, but not when you let that fear take over.

Day 5: Your Proudest Moment
This is a hard one. I guess my proudest moment is when I graduated high school, but I wasn’t really proud. I was just glad it was over. I like learning, but I don’t like school. A teacher is supposed to be flexible and adapt their teaching style to the way you learn; but most just liked to read from the book. I am a kinetic- I like to see it and touch it. I get absolutely nothing out of being read to, unless you couple it with something visual. So I had a hard time in school, and that diploma proved that I survived it all.

Day 3: Your Favorite Quote
Always remember: STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERTS. So relax and have a piece of cheesecake.
The first sentence is not mine. No clue where it actually originated from- it’s attributed to several people. But the cheesecake part- that’s ALL me. 🙂

Day 2: 20 Facts About You
1. I have arachnophobia. However- instead of running from spiders- I want to see them set on fire, or squished, or stabbed, or shot… basically anything to make sure they are dead. If I absolutely MUST do any of the above myself- I will reluctantly do so. But I usually make the Hubby do it.
2. I hate clowns and mimes. Seriously, just- no. I’ve never found any of them entertaining or pleasant. And if you clown/mime (can I use that as a verb?) as your day job or in your spare time- please don’t come up to me in uniform. I get violent.
(And yes, I understand that they perform VALUABLE services to entertain children, and IÂ wholeheartedly agree that they should. Just don’t interact with ME and we’ll be okay.)
11 Thursday Aug 2016
I’ve done several knitting challenges, but I’ve yet to do a writing challenge. So let’s start one!
One of the blogs I subscribe to is nothing but writing prompts, and several days ago this one popped up:
So without further adieu- lets start it!
