I paid for someone else’s breakfast this morning. And some people might say that doing things like that is a waste of money. I don’t think so. I’ve never seen FEEDING people as a waste of money. I guess it’s because I grew up poor. I’ve had times where the only thing in the house is a jug of water, a box of evaporated milk, some bread heels, and various condiments.

I always thought Benedict Cumberbatch was a stage name. You know- like Whoopi Goldberg or Portia de Rossi or Elvis Costello…

Yeah, and I know the British are fond of giving their children sixty thousand names, but really- Benedict Cumberbatch? How was he not beaten up every day at school?

Sounds like a villain in a Sherlock Holmes novel…

(Which is not to say that I don’t like the actor.  I think he’s great!)

I Hate Mondays.

To the trucker who put his lights on, trying to intimidate me into speeding up:

I’m already doing the speed limit- leave me alone. Plus- a pickup truck just turned into this lane; which means I would have had to slow down anyway. You know this road is hazardous- I’m not getting into an accident, just because you want me to go faster. Chill.

To the little white Mazda on my butt all the way up the road to my job:

I’m not getting a speeding ticket, just because you are late. Leave earlier, and you might even have time to get breakfast. See how this works?

Also- if I stop suddenly- I will total your little itty bitty car. Back off!

I met a lovely crocheter on Monday. I actually also met a lovely knitter, but the Hubby had to go back for his procedure, so we didn’t get to shop talk.  🙂

Day 30: Your Hopes For Your Blog

At first- I wanted to say that I don’t have hopes for this blog, because I’m already achieving what I set out to do: have a place to hold myself accountable in my knitting and writing. But since I do want to develop my own Yarn business- I need to start thinking about the near future. Whether I want a separate Shop Blog, or incorporate this one. I also want to write more. I’ve already been looking for more writing challenges, so we’ll see what pops up in the future!

So I guess my hope is that my blog (or blogs if that is what I choose to do) will grow as I do. I apparently have some big changes on the horizon, so hopefully I can adapt and grow, and so will my blog(s). And until I have a more definite direction- that’s as specific as I dare to get.

Last Day! Some days were uncomfortable, but I answered everything!

My cat has fleas.

*sigh*

The theory is that when they bombed the apartment (before we moved in)- they got the fleas, but not the eggs. So we have an infestation of the babies of the fleas that died. Lovely.

Day 28: Most Embarrassing Moment

I don’t get embarrassed often anymore, so let’s go back in time. 3rd grade. We had too many kids for the elementary school, so my class was held in a portable. These were designed to be temporary classrooms, but they used them for years. it was about 2:45 pm, and we were waiting for the afternoon announcements to start. School was always dismissed after the afternoon announcements. I had to use the restroom (which was located in the main part of the school). I had to go VERY badly, so I asked my teacher. Maybe she thought I was just trying to leave school early, but she wouldn’t let me go. She told me to wait.
